Physics Investigatory Project for Class 12

Completing the Physics Investigatory Project for Class 12 involves planning and conducting experiments, carefully analyzing the results, and presenting the findings in a comprehensive report or a well-organized presentation. Below are some popular Class 12 Physics investigatory project topics that students can explore.

Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 – Heat Transfer in an Incandescent Lamp

Objective: The objective of this project is to determine how much electrical energy in an incandescent lamp is lost due to thermionic emission from the filament. If the losses are significant, it suggests that replacing incandescent lamps could improve energy efficiency.

Theory: Using details like electricity usage, filament temperature, and ambient temperature, you can split the power output into parts due to thermionic emission and thermal radiation. Conduction depends on filament temperature (Fourier’s Law), while radiation is proportional to the fourth power of filament temperature (Stefan-Boltzmann Law).

Requirements: For this Physics Investigatory Project Class 12, you will need a 25-watt evacuated light bulb, a programmable power source, two high-precision digital meters, and a digital thermometer.

Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 – Observations of Gas in the Infrared Spectrum

Objective: The goal of this project is to study the impact of a gas’s chemical properties on its ability to absorb and transmit infrared radiation, with the main focus on hiding a transmissive gas heating element.

Theory: The results show that the molecular structure of gas determines its ability to transmit infrared radiation. Certain gases have strong absorption zones, leading to limited transmittance in the infrared spectrum.

Requirements: You will need PVC pipe, a spectroradiometer, an 8–12-micron infrared camera with digital imaging, a blackbody, and various gases.

Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 – Doppler Effect

Objective: This project investigates the changes in sound waves by creating a visual model of how sound waves behave as a vehicle passes by.

Theory: The Doppler effect occurs because each subsequent wave crest is generated from a position closer to the observer than the previous crest as the source moves towards the observer. This project visually demonstrates how sound waves change, making the sound appear different when a car approaches and then passes.

Requirements: For this Physics Investigatory Project Class 12, you will need a ruler, scissors, tape, a toy car, two pieces of colored construction paper, plain paper, and a marker or camera.

Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 – Hydropower Project

Objective: The objective of this hydropower project is to understand the power of water through practical observation.

Theory: Hydropower plants are constructed at the base of dams to utilize the higher water pressure found there. Excess water is directed into the dam through a pipe called a penstock, which then directs the water onto turbine blades. The pressure from the water drives the turbine, which is connected to a generator that produces electricity.

Requirements: For this Physics Investigatory Project Class 12, you will need a half-gallon paper milk carton, a gallon of water, an awl or 10p nail, masking tape, a ruler, a magic marker, scissors, a notepad, and a pencil.

Theory: This Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 could be useful in reducing heating costs during winter by identifying the best insulating material. Among the materials tested, fiberglass tends to retain heat the longest, making it the most efficient insulator.

Requirements: You will need particle board, a light bulb, a digital thermometer, and cardboard boxes for this experiment.

Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 – Colors with Long and Short Wavelengths

Objective: This project aims to measure the external and internal temperatures of buildings, as well as the insulation rates, when they are painted in different solid and mixed colors.

Theory: The analysis revealed that internal temperatures correlated with the wavelength of colors. Generally, combination color houses had lower insulation efficiency compared to houses painted in solid colors. Among the colors, blue was the most effective insulator.

Requirements: For this Physics Investigatory Project Class 12, oil paints, a white control house, digital and infrared thermometers are needed.

Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 – Insulation Value Experiment

Objective: The aim of this project is to compare the insulation value of straw with more commonly used insulation materials like fiberglass and rigid foam panels.

Theory: Proper insulation is key to energy-efficient building design. Insulation helps retain heat during cold weather and keeps the heat out during hot weather. Various materials, including straw, fiberglass, and rigid foam, can be used to insulate walls, floors, and pipelines to prevent heat transfer.

Requirements: The materials required for this Physics Investigatory Project Class 12 include speakers, insulation materials, and a digital thermometer.

  • Online JEE Mains Courses Reviewed by Success Data & Topper’s Advice

Toppers recommend JEE courses that combine structured tests, personalised mentorship, and a proven track record of consistent success. High selection rates reflect a course’s credibility and its ability to produce real results, not just promises. Infinity Learn stands out as a topper-recommended platform with proven outcomes, expert mentors, and an integrated CBSE + JEE approach that drives lasting success.

Why Follow in the Footsteps of Toppers?

Every JEE topper was once just another student — nervous before tests, unsure about study plans, and hoping to find the proper guidance.  Toppers don’t waste time figuring out what might work. They follow proven strategies, learn from expert teachers, and practice with purpose.

You’ll discover what toppers look for in a course, why results data matter, and why Infinity Learn has emerged as one of the most trusted names in online JEE preparation.

The Value of Topper’s Recommendations in Choosing JEE Classes

When a topper recommends a course, it’s based on lived experience — not marketing promises. They’ve tested the platform, used the study materials, and know what works under exam pressure.

    Here’s why their opinions matter:

    1. Toppers Have Tested the System: They’ve gone through the same doubts, subjects, and mock tests. So, when they endorse a course, they’re vouching for its effectiveness. It means the course structure, doubt-solving methods, and mentor support actually made a difference in their preparation.
    2. They Know What to Prioritise: Most toppers say that personalised feedback, timely doubt-solving, and consistent test practice were game changers. These aren’t fancy features — they’re the basics done right.
    3. They Help You Avoid Trial and Error: Students often waste months switching between apps or methods. Following what toppers already found useful saves you time and energy.

Why Success Rates Are Important for Students and Parents

Numbers tell the truth. A course’s selection rate — the percentage of students who qualify for JEE Main or Advanced — is one of the clearest indicators of its quality.

    Here’s why it’s important:

    • Selection Rate Reflects Credibility: Anyone can design an online course, but consistent results year after year prove real credibility.
    • It Shows Proven Methodologies: Courses with high selection rates use data-driven teaching, frequent testing, and strong mentor feedback.
    • It Builds Motivation for Students: When students know they’re learning under a system that has already produced top ranks, their confidence grows. They trust the process and push harder to match that level.

How Toppers Choose the Right JEE Online Course

Over the years, toppers have mentioned a few consistent factors that helped them choose the right course. Whether it’s a live class or a hybrid program, these are the elements they all value:

    1. Structured practice tests and mock exams – Regular mock tests that simulate real exam conditions.
    2. Mentor-led personalised guidance – Mentors who analyse test results and help fix mistakes.
    3. Strong NCERT/CBSE alignment – Courses that strengthen fundamentals from school-level concepts.
    4. Peer learning opportunities – Group discussions, leaderboards, and doubt forums that keep learning competitive and engaging.
    5. Consistent improvement in selection rates – A program that shows growth every year in success percentages.

JEE Mains Classes: What Toppers Recommend vs. Real Results

When comparing top JEE platforms, two key measures stand out: what toppers recommend and how many students are actually selected.

Let’s look at how various types of online JEE programs perform on these criteria:

    1. Mass Online Platforms: These offer thousands of videos, self-paced tests, and automated feedback. They’re great for flexibility but often lack human mentorship. Toppers rarely rely on them exclusively because the feedback is too generic and not tailored to their needs.
    2. Traditional Coaching Institutes Moving Online: Many long-standing offline brands now have digital arms. Their structured schedules and faculty are reliable, but their selection data online is often inconsistent. The offline methods don’t always translate well to digital learning.
    3. Hybrid and AI-Driven Programs: This is where the best results are emerging. These combine real mentors, intelligent analytics, and AI-driven study plans. Students get personalised feedback, test data tracking, and flexible schedules.

    Infinity Learn’s Proven Advantage

    3. Personalised Feedback at Every Step: Each test comes with performance analytics and mentor sessions. Students don’t just see marks — they understand what to fix. The combination of AI reports and mentor advice ensures no weak spot is ignored.
    4. Integrated Learning for CBSE + JEE: Its curriculum aligns with school syllabi, ensuring that students strengthen fundamentals while preparing for competitive exams.
    5. Affordability and Access: Infinity Learn believes quality education shouldn’t be limited by cost or location. Its flexible pricing, mobile app access, and hybrid format make it accessible to students in both metro and Tier 2/3 cities.

No wonder toppers describe it as the perfect balance of “discipline, accessibility, and smart preparation.”

Checklist for Students & Parents to Pick the Right JEE Class

Choosing the right course can be so tough, especially when every platform claims to be the best. Here’s a simple checklist based on toppers’ and parents’ priorities:

    • Check if toppers recommend the program.
    • Review actual selection percentages, not just reviews.
    • Ensure NCERT/CBSE fundamentals are included.
    • Seek mentor support and receive live feedback.
    • Compare the affordability and flexibility of access.

A course that performs well on all these fronts offers real value — not just flashy features.

Learn From the Best, Become the Next Topper

Every topper started exactly where you are now — figuring out formulas, struggling with long questions, and doubting themselves occasionally. What changed their story was the guidance they received and the course they trusted. • Enlist online JEE coaching classes that offer comprehensive study plans and one-on-one tuition

With a vast array of online JEE coaching platforms, it becomes challenging for students to select a platform that offers comprehensive study plans and personalised mentorship guidance. Backed by Sri Chaitanya’s pedagogical legacy, discover how Infinity Learn’s JEE coaching classes combine both these aspects for a better outcome.

Success in JEE Exam isn’t about “cramming” — it’s about daily practice and feedback that sharpens your edge. The majority of Indian aspirants either lack proper guidance or a consistent strategy, making it hard to stay ahead in this hyper-competitive environment. The most successful students are not just those who study “hard” but those who study “smart.” Over time, students have begun to shift away from crowded offline coaching centres to more focused and interactive learning platforms.

Platforms like Infinity Learn are redefining JEE online coaching by offering structured learning with daily challenge questions and live instructor feedback. This combination ensures not only conceptual clarity but also consistency — two central pillars of JEE success.

The Role of Daily Challenge Questions in JEE Prep

Daily challenge questions play a crucial role in improving accuracy and problem-solving speed. Instead of studying endlessly and revising the same chapters, these challenges encourage you to apply concepts every single day. This habit keeps your mind active, prevents last-minute panic, and builds a sense of discipline.

Solving each question sharpens your understanding of JEE-level patterns. It’s like taking a mini mock test daily — but with a targeted purpose. Regular problem-solving helps students identify weak spots before they become barriers. Over time, this daily habit builds exam confidence and creates a strong revision cycle that fuels success in the IIT JEE Online Course.

Why is Live Instructor Feedback a Game-Changer?

Solving questions alone is one thing; receiving feedback from an expert makes the change. Live instructor feedback ensures that your mistakes don’t go unnoticed. Many students keep repeating the same errors because they don’t get timely clarification.

With platforms like Infinity Learn, students receive instant resolution of doubts during live sessions — saving precious time and avoiding misconceptions. It adds a personalised touch to your preparation. Every feedback session becomes a one-on-one mini-mentorship, where instructors guide you through the “why” behind every solution. This level of personalisation transforms JEE online coaching into a dynamic and interactive experience that keeps learners motivated.

The Best online IIT JEE Online course is the one that blends theory with application — helping students balance school and JEE prep. A platform like Infinity Learn stands out because it creates a smart ecosystem for students: learn, practice, receive feedback, and repeat.

Checklist: How to Select the Right JEE Online Class

Before committing to any online JEE exam preparation classes, ask yourself these questions:

    • Does the course provide structured daily challenge assignments?
    • Are detailed solutions available for every problem?
    • Are live instructors available for regular feedback sessions?
    • Does the platform offer personalised performance tracking?
    • Is the pricing affordable considering the guidance provided?

Before enrolling, students should verify whether the IIT JEE Online Course fosters consistency through daily learning habits. A structured program ensures progressive growth rather than random or rushed study sessions.

Daily Challenges vs. Random Practice — Why Structure Matters

Many students make the mistake of solving random questions without a plan. This approach often leads to confusion, inconsistency, and burnout. On the other hand, structured daily challenges gradually build conceptual depth and improve exam temperament.

When questions are designed progressively, you’re not just learning formulas — you’re mastering their application. Daily structure also removes the mental fatigue of deciding “what to study next.” The more organised your preparation, the smoother your journey becomes toward achieving top ranks in JEE online coaching programs.

The CBSE–JEE Connection: Why NCERT is Still the Base

JEE is deeply rooted in NCERT concepts. Every topper acknowledges that mastering the NCERT is the foundation for understanding JEE topics. Daily challenge questions often mirror CBSE concepts, offering dual benefits — stronger board preparation and a solid foundation for JEE.

This is where Infinity Learn shines. Their IIT JEE Online Course seamlessly integrates NCERT with advanced JEE-level questions. It helps students stay rooted in the basics while pushing their problem-solving abilities to the next level.

Success Stories: Students Who Benefited from Daily Challenges & Feedback

Many students have dramatically improved their ranks by adopting the daily challenge habit. For instance, students who practised one structured set daily and actively participated in live feedback sessions saw their scores rise within months. They realised that “small daily steps lead to giant leaps in JEE results.”This consistent routine created clarity, focus, and confidence — exactly what’s needed to crack one of India’s toughest exams.

  • List of Major Changes between NEET UG 2025 and NEET UG 2026 Syllabus

Comparing NEET 2025 vs NEET 2026 changes is critical for aspirants. With reforms by NMC and NTA, even small tweaks in syllabus or exam pattern can affect preparation strategy. In this blog we highlight the differences, the official announcements, and how students should adapt.

    NEET 2025 Syllabus overview

    • The official NEET (UG) 2025 syllabus was released by NTA / NMC, and serves as the baseline for comparisons.
    • A major shift in 2025 was the removal of the optional Section B in each subject. Earlier pattern had Section A + Section B (where one had optional questions) – that was scrapped.
    • In 2025, the exam had 180 total questions, all compulsory, across Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
    • Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes).
    • Syllabus size had already been pruned in earlier years — from ~97 chapters down to ~79 chapters per latest sources.

Thus, NEET 2025 served as a “post-reform” baseline: no optional sections, fixed question count, and a revised syllabus already.

List of topics removed in NEET 2026 syllabus

Subject Topics Removed in NEET 2026
Physics Rolling motion, Reynold’s number, Heat engines & refrigerator, Forced & damped oscillations, Doppler effect, Van de Graaff generator, Color coding of resistors, Potentiometer (parts), Cyclotron, Davisson–Germer experiment, Advanced transistor/semiconductor topics
Chemistry Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry (introductory parts), Atomic Structure (isotopes, isobars, shells/subshells, dual nature), Chemical Thermodynamics (sections), p-Block Elements (detailed parts), Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen (cyanes/isocyanides, detailed mechanisms), Polymers (detailed classification), Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life (drugs, antiseptics in depth)
Biology Transport in Plants (detailed mechanisms), Mineral Nutrition, Taxonomic Aids (herbarium, museum, keys), Advanced morphology of Angiosperms, Secondary Growth in plants, Vernalization & Seed Dormancy, Sense Organs (advanced details), Digestion & Absorption (some subtopics), Reproduction in Organisms (some parts), Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production (plant breeding, tissue culture), Ecological Succession, Environmental Issues (pollution, ozone depletion, etc.)

NEET Expected Exam Pattern Changes in 2026

    • NEET 2026 continues with 180 compulsory MCQs. There is no optional section.
    • Mode: still pen & paper (offline) for 2026. There has been speculation about online mode later, but for 2026 it remains offline.
    • Distribution:
    • Total marks: 720 (each correct +4, wrong −1)
    • Time: 3 hours (180 minutes) remains unchanged.

    NEET Syllabus Modifications & Rationalization

    • The NEET 2026 syllabus is largely aligned with the NCERT class 11 / 12 curriculum, similar to 2025.
    • Official sources state that no massive overhaul is expected; many sources say syllabus “will keep the same as previous year.”
    • However, some speculation and reports suggest further reduction (5–7%) or “rationalization” of less critical topics.
    • Because NCERT itself has undergone updates, some chapters may be removed or compressed; topics which were pruned already may not return.

    Weightage & Emphasis Shifts

    • In 2026, Biology remains the heftiest portion (~50% of total marks), physics and chemistry share the rest equally (~25% each).
    • Within Biology, high-weight chapters likely include: Human Physiology, Genetics & Evolution, Ecology & Environment.
    • In Physics & Chemistry, topics in Mechanics, Electrostatics, Chemical Bonding, Organic Chemistry are emphasized.

Marking Scheme +4 for correct, −1 for wrong Same scheme: +4 / −1
Syllabus changes Some removal of optional part; baseline of ~79 chapters already pruned Mostly same as 2025 in structure; small rationalizations or minor cuts possible
Weightage distribution Biology heavy, physics & chemistry balanced Similar pattern; minor internal shift in emphasis possible
Major new features Removal of optional questions, simplification of structure Continued removal of optional section, more focus on core NCERT topics

Subject-wise question weightage changes from 2025 to 2026

Subject NEET 2025 Questions NEET 2025 Weightage NEET 2026 Questions NEET 2026 Weightage

    Total 180 100% (720 marks) 180 100% (720 marks)

    Implications for Students / Aspirants

    1. Strategy Adjustments

    • No optional questions means you must prepare all topics in each subject.
    • Prioritize high-weight chapters in Biology, Physics & Chemistry.

    2. Study Material & Books

    • Use latest NCERT textbooks and NCERT Solutions (class XI & XII) as primary reference — syllabus aligns strongly.
    • Avoid relying on sources covering topics already pruned or removed.

    3. Practice & Mock Tests

    • Use full-length 180-question mock tests with +4/−1 scheme.
    • Time yourself strictly for 3 hours to mirror actual exam.

    4. Keep Track of Official Releases

    • Monitor NTA / NEET official website for syllabus PDF and exam-pattern notice.
    • Check updates around December 2025, when official 2026 syllabus is likely published.

    5. Caveats & Uncertainties

    • Some 2026 changes are speculative, not confirmed yet. Many sources warn “no significant changes expected.”
    • The possibility of minor syllabus reductions remains.
    • Any late official announcement could introduce surprises – be flexible in planning.

    • 180 compulsory MCQs, no optional sections
    • Use of NCERT-based syllabus with minimal changes

Aspirants should fine-tune strategy to cover all chapters, focus on weighty topics, simulate realistic mocks, and stay alert for official updates.
