How to do Registration in CBSE Class 9?

The CBSE registration process for CBSE Classes 9 is managed entirely by the school, not by individual students. While students don’t register on their own, they must cooperate by sharing correct details and documents when asked. Here’s how the process works:

  • Step 1 – School Affiliation: Only CBSE-affiliated schools can register students.
  • Step 2 – Data Collection: Schools gather required information from students, such as personal details, subjects opted for, and supporting documents.
  • Step 3 – Online Registration: The school logs in to the CBSE Pariksha Sangam portal and enters student data.
  • Step 4 – Fee Payment: Schools collect registration fees from students and make a bulk payment to CBSE.
  • Step 5 – Verification & Submission: The school cross-checks the information entered, ensures accuracy, and submits the final registration form.

For students, the key responsibility is to provide accurate information on time so the school can complete registration without errors.

  • Small Batches: Schools with fewer students in Class 9 can enter details individually on the CBSE website.
  • Bulk Entries: For larger batches, schools can select the “Download Excel File” option to fill in student information in bulk. Care must be taken to ensure accuracy while completing the Excel sheet.
  • Checklist Printing: After submitting the data, schools must print the list using the “Checklist Printing of Registered Students” option. The document will be titled CHECKLIST OF STUDENTS REGISTERED FOR CLASS 9.
  • Verification: The printed checklist should be cross-checked with the Original Admission and Withdrawal Register. Both subject codes and subject names for each student must be carefully verified.
  • Corrections: Any mistakes, such as spelling errors, should be updated online using the “Correction of Registered List of Students” option.
