There is not a uniform “passing marks” published yet (as of latest notifications) for Class 9. However, cutoff/qualifying marks for different categories are expected and vary by district and category (General, OBC, SC, ST). The exact number of vacancies for Class 9 for 2025 has not been clearly published in the sources I found. Many sources mention that the lateral entry is offered in vacant seats across about 650+ JNVs (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas) in 27 States and 8 Union Territories.
