Diwali, the festival of lights and colors, is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm. It is the time to come together and celebrate the victory of Lord Rama, who returned after 12 years of vanvaas. Everywhere, homes are lit up with diyas, and kids celebrate this festival by burning crackers and celebrating in schools by drawing Diwali scenes and diyas. It is the best time when students and kids enjoy themselves and spread happiness all around.

1. “My Home on Diwali Night”
Sketch your house by using different crayon colours decorated with colorful lights, glowing diyas, and your family celebrating Diwali together. Put stars into the sky and fireworks so that it looks beautiful.
2. “Happy Diya Family”
Draw a group of smiling diyas a big diya for (mother), a medium diya (father), and small diyas (kids) where all glowing together happily. Decorate them with patterns and colors.

The festival of lights is called Diwali. It is a joyous festival whereby people adorn their houses with diyas, candles and rangoli. Students wear new attires, taste sweets and spread happiness with everyone.
I wake up early and help my family clean the house.
We light diyas and make a colorful rangoli.
Then we wear new clothes at night and eat yummy sweets.
At night, we see and burn fireworks and wish everyone “Happy Diwali!”
I feel very happy on Diwali because everything shines bright.
